Streaming Service LEGO Minifigure

I was commissioned to design and produce a custom LEGO minifigure as a limited giveaway for a client’s event. I handled end-to-end execution—character concept, vector artwork, 3D visualization, collectible packaging, and final pad printing—so attendees received a premium, display-ready LEGO keepsake, while being uniquely on-brand for the client.

See the process below.

Pad Printing

To maintain brand fidelity, I precisely matched pad-printing inks to the client’s specified Red Pantone and to LEGO’s signature Yellow Pantone. I mixed and adjusted inks, ran cured test hits on ABS parts, and evaluated against Pantone swatches under controlled lighting, refining until the hues and gloss level aligned with both the brand standard and the LEGO aesthetic.

Artwork & 3D Renderings

I created production artwork in Adobe Illustrator and built/previewed the minifigure and case using 3D modeling and rendering tools with realistic ABS materials to match an authentic LEGO finish.

Deliverables included:

  • A teaser render of the figure in all-black for pre-event hype

  • A render of the figure seated in the clear case with the lid set off to the side

  • A hero render of the finished figure outside the case, with a second variant color subtly in the background for depth

These visuals aligned stakeholders quickly and de-risked production by locking in proportions, materials, and packaging before print.

Display/Carry Case Design

I designed a simple, durable display solution that also functioned as protective packaging: a clear plastic case with a fitted lid and a laser-cut foam insert. The foam cradled the minifigure for transport, while the transparent case turned it into a ready-to-display collectible—stackable, dust-resistant, and event-table friendly.
